Last weekend One-for-One shoe brand TOMS hosted a huge warehouse sale that was so popular and so well-attended that I waited an hour in line just to get in. Add to that, shoppers were only given one hour to shop (others have told me they were only given 45 minutes to shop when they went). I normally don’t do lines and would have walked right out of there upon discovery of said line if my fashionista friend, fellow blogger and Las Vegas fashion stylist Christie Moeller hadn’t shown up to shop with me. Her company kept me sane and patient.
Once we got inside, there were boxes and boxes of shoes – sans their own shoe boxes, which was fine with me. Each giant box of TOMS shoes (classics, botas and wedges) were grouped by size and style, making it really easy to shop. Within minutes I found the perfect pair of wedges and classics for me and found the perfect pair of classics for my husband. I also purchased a pair of TOMS sunglasses for my husband and my total for everything came out to only $107. What a bargain!
Of course, if you compare my shopping haul (below, on the left) to Christie’s (below, on the right), mine looks rather inadequate. But… she was shopping for herself, her husband, her sisters and their kids. I’m not sure how many shoes she ended up buying, but she got quite a deal, too.
In the end, I am so glad I stayed in line and took advantage of this Vegas-style shopportunity. It was totally worth it!
