As the masses descend upon Indio, California for Coachella, the hubby and I will be in nearby Palm Springs for a much-needed rest. We’ll be staying at the beautiful La Quinta Resort & Club, and I’m already planning my style strategy – what to wear and what to pack.
Our getaway will entail only poolside leisure and fine dining. And seriously, that’s it. So knowing that all we plan on doing is being lazy, I’m going with nothing but maxi dresses, swimwear, big sunglasses and a big straw hat, which is the one item I have yet to purchase.
Are you planning a leisurely vacation of your own? Here’s my style strategy for a resort stay. See my fashion picks below.
A one-piece swimsuit can be sexy, so long as it enhances and supports the figure while camouflaging flaws.
A cover-up keeps you classy as you walk from the pool to the bar or back to your hotel room.
Day or night… a pretty, flattering maxi dress is perfect. Tank top and halter style maxis keep the overall look easy-breezy and allow for you to accessorize however you want.
Because I’m petite, I’m sticking with wedges to go with my maxi dresses. But if you’re a tall gal, I say go ahead and wear flat sandals.
Even while on vacation, this girl needs glamour. A big straw hat and oversize sunglasses make me feel like a Hollywood star, while protecting me from the sun.
