The fourth DSQUARED2 boutique in the US has opened on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip at The Shops at Crystals. Founded in 1995 by twin brothers Dean and Dan Caten, DSQUARED2 is known for its daring and creative outlook on fashion. The new Vegas-based boutique showcases a distinct fashion mix of heritage Canadian iconography, modern Italian tailoring, and playful sensuality for both men and women, including accessories, underwear, and fragrance. The interior design of the 2,200-square-foot store is dark, lodge-inspired, masculine, and edgy with just a hint of glamour.
“We’re thrilled to have our fourth U.S. flagship open in Las Vegas,” say the Caten twins. “We love the city and all it has to offer.”
The brand commemorated the opening of the newest flagship boutique with a grand opening event on April 6. The design duo made a personal appearance and interacted with guests. International pop star Ricky Martin, who just kicked off his new residency at Park Theater and was recently cast to play Antonio D’Amico (fashion designer Gianni Versace’s longtime partner) in the third season of Ryan Murphy’s “American Crime Story,” also made a personal appearance. DSQUARED2 created all of the costumes for Martin’s Las Vegas show.
“Vegas screams DSQUARED2 and it’s an honor to be a part of their store opening,” Martin says. “To me there was nobody else I could partner with to give me the costumes my dancers and I could only dream of wearing. They mirror what I am trying to give everyone coming to see the show…full blown entertainment.”
I got to attend this fantastic grand opening event, alongside Las Vegas’ top tastemakers and celebrities, including supermodel Tyson Beckford, Absinthe performer Melody Sweets, professional BMX rider Ricardo Laguna, supermodel Clint Mauro, and Harrah’s headliners Tenors of Rock.
