As I have confessed before, I am a mascara addict. And while I have my tried and true tubes, I can’t help but try out new mascaras all the time. I mean after all, I am a beauty junkie. So it only makes sense that I would risk mascara overdose by experimenting with other brands.
Lately, I’ve been playing around with three mascara brands that I don’t normally use, one of which I am thoroughly loving. Here are the results below:
YVES SAINT LAURENT
Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Babydoll
I’m not getting a whole lot of volume from this one, but I am loving the length. I especially love how the mascara formula coats each lash individually, giving me that baby doll look. It looks really good with minimal makeup. This one is becoming a new favorite!
GIVENCHY
Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara
I get great volume with this one, but not a whole lot of length. What I love about this mascara is the darkness of the formula. It looks awesome with a smoky eye. But the bulbous applicator is a little weird to work with. I’m on the fence on this mascara. I’m not sure if I like it or if I’m too intimidated to work with it.
I’m feeling “meh” on this one. Another product that I’ve been using and loving is Lancome’s Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base. I can use this product with any of my mascaras and it increases volume and length. It’s pretty awesome. However, even with the Lancome Cils Booster, Guerlain’s Maxi Lash still isn’t quite so “maxi.”
Another eye product that I’ve been using and loving lately is Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Eye Cream and Lash Serum Duo Kit. I use it every morning and night. I’m not sure how well the eye cream is working, but the lash serum is definitely conditioning my lashes and making them look thick and healthy.
