Just when I convince myself that I know everything there is to know about makeup and what works for my skin, I learn the hard way that I don’t. Know why? Because as we age, change, and become different women, so does our skin.
You may find your skin improves in your twenties compared to what your skin was like in your teens. Then you may find it goes through more changes in your thirties, and you’re having to develop a whole new routine and find new cosmetics to work for you. Finding the right product for your skin can often seem like a never ending journey, but now that MAKE UP FOR EVER has taken its mobile beauty school across the country (and even to Canada), you can finally find the answers you need – and for free!
Ladies, discover the Make Up Bag Remix Tour, hosted by MAKE UP FOR EVER. All you do is schedule a free consultation, bring your makeup with you, fill out a form, and receive an analysis and some wonderfully helpful advice from an experienced makeup artist.
My dilemma is finding the right powder foundation. I’ll use liquid foundation on special occasions, but for everyday use, I prefer a light powder. So far, I haven’t been able to find one that provides me with shine-free coverage. Plus, I still have to use a concealer to cover up any flaws or dark circles under my eyes.
But when I attended the Make Up Bag Remix Tour in Las Vegas, my makeup artist Sarah introduced me to MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Finish multi-use powder foundation, and it was love at first application. Not only did the powder completely give me an overall even skin tone and matte finish, but it provided such great coverage that I didn’t need any concealer! That’s huge. I do have a couple of blemishes, but most of all, I have permanent red birthmark-like splotches just beneath my nostrils that I struggle to conceal daily. But the Pro Finish powder completely covered them up. Sold! I immediately scooted over to Sephora to purchase Pro Finish, and I am elated to have finally found the foundation of my dreams.
Sarah also introduced me to the HD Elixer which hydrates and plumps the skin, something I need living in the desert. Plus, she provided me with some great tips and tricks to contouring and highlighting, customized specifically for my face shape. She continually emphasized how everyone’s face is different and the contouring and highlighting one woman might do for her face doesn’t necessarily apply to another woman of a different face. I left my Make Up Bag Remix Tour appointment feeling empowered, educated and enlightened. I expect to see a vast improvement in my makeup application now. I can’t wait to experiment with everything Sarah taught me.
