Top fashionista and style icon Kerry Washington showcased her comedic talents on last Saturday’s “Saturday Night Live” without compromising her sense for great fashion.
Washington is one of few celebrities who I look to for style inspiration, and I found of a lot of it during SNL. Here are my favorite outfits that she wore on the show, along with some inspired looks that you can purchase for yourself.
Washington performed her monologue donning this black dress accented with a white collar. Adorbs!
Dorothy Perkins shift dress, $29.
Michael Antonio Ankle Boots, $59.
Before her monologue, Washington joined SNL in its attempt at self-mocking by addressing the show’s lack of diversity within its cast. She played Mrs. Obama (then later appeared as Oprah) and wore the most appropriate FLOTUS dress covered in poppies.
Tracy Reese Embellished Frock at ModCloth, $497
If you can’t afford to dole out $500 for a dress (I know I can’t), then wear your favorite LBD and a cluster of these poppie brooches, $27 each.
I LOVED this “What Does My Girl Say?” video. My husband and I were cracking up. From the bangs to the boots, I just adore this look.
Lace Jacket from Mango, $60.
Coated skinny jeans by edyson available at Nordstrom for $94.
Nine West Platform Booties, $159.
As Tammy, the motivational speaker’s assistant, Washington’s outfit was as hilarious as her character. But damn, those gold ankle boots are hot, aren’t they?
Pour La Victoire Gold Ankle Boots, on sale for $184.
