October is my favorite month of the year. It’s my birthday month, marks the beginning of fall and when the temperature finally begins to cool down in Las Vegas, and showcases my favorite holiday – Halloween. But let’s not forget to think pink. October is also National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and for the first time ever, the exterior of the The Forum Shops at Caesars (3500 South Las Vegas Boulevard) on the famous Las Vegas Strip will proudly glow in pink for the entire month of October. Throughout the month, The Forum Shops will also sell its popular Style Pass, which features more than 50 exclusive offers and valuable discounts available at a wide variety of participating retailers and restaurants, for $5 with donations going to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation in its ongoing fight to end breast cancer. Style Passes can be purchased at any of the Guest Services Centers located near the Fountain of the Gods and on the second level near the spiral escalator.
Additionally, retailers throughout The Forum Shops are offering a number of special products from a capsule collection of signature pink and white, including tropical-inspired apparel for both men and women at Tommy Bahama, special totes and accessories at Tory Burch, and the Power of Pink 2015 limited edition bracelet at Brighton – each providing a portion of sales proceeds to support a variety of additional programs and organizations that promote early detection, education and research funding for breast cancer.
Elie Tahari at The Forum Shops teams up with Dress For Success by presenting a special shopping event inside their distinctive boutique TODAY, October 1st, from 5:30-7:30 pm. Enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvre while discovering the new Elie Tahari Fall Collection. Receive $100 off any purchase of $400 or more. A portion of proceeds from sales during the event will go to Dress For Success Southern Nevada, a charitable organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women, enabling them to build a career and become self-sufficient.
Also happening at The Forum Shops, COACH invites shoppers to attend its fall event on October 10th, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. See what the brand has in store for fall, including apparel and men’s fashion. COACH is undergoing a brand transformation, and this is a great opportunity for you to check it out in person. Guests will also enjoy wine, cupcakes, and DJ entertainment. On October 8th, Nathan Adelson Hospice, the largest non-profit hospice in Nevada, presents its 16th Annual Wine & Food Tasting Extravaganza from 5:30 – 8:00 pm in the new showroom location of Gaudin Porsche, 6800 Redwood St. The event benefits the hospice’s Pediatric Program and Families in Need Program. Members of the community and supporters are invited to sample delicious wines and delectable cuisine while enjoying music, a silent auction and live auction. Event attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Tickets are $125 per person for the VIP Reserve Experience pre-reception from 4:30 – 5:30 pm. The VIP reception will feature a selection of finer wines from Johnson Brothers of Nevada and cheeses from Murray’s Cheese. General admission tickets to the event are $75 per person. It’s that time of the year! Dress for Success’ Shop for Success Inventory Reduction Sale happens Saturday, October 10th, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday, October 11th, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Opportunity Village Thrift Store, 390 South Decatur Boulevard.
Shoppers will enjoy reduced prices on professional clothes for women at the sale, such as sweaters and blouses for only $6, jackets and dresses for only $10 and suits and coats for $20, as well as accessories like purses, scarves and jewelry. French Connection’s new fall collection will be showcased throughout the month, while natural cosmetics retailer LUSH features its Halloween collection with spooky creations such as Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar and Nightwing Shower Jelly.
Apricot Lane Boutique will be pushing pink this month and encouraging its shoppers to donate to Susan G. Komen®. Every $25 donation made in the store to the foundation will give shoppers the chance to enter to win a $100 Apricot Lane gift card. The boutique will also host a Passionately Pink Party at its Town Square Location (6605 South Las Vegas Boulevard) on October 15th, from 6:00–9:00 pm, with 20% off your purchase. Stop in and enjoy refreshments, raffles, and shopping.
