I’m about as addicted to mascara as I am to shoes. Not quite as addicted, but almost.
It all began when I used Latisse to grow my lashes out (yes, it worked). Now that I have longer lashes that I am just loving, I thoroughly enjoy enhancing them with loads, and I mean LOADS, of mascara.
Now you may ask yourself why I can’t just choose one brand of mascara and stay faithful to it. Well, as is the case with shoes, each of my favorite mascaras gives me a different look. And, each is at a different price point. Below is a my latest list of my favorite mascaras.
Drugstore Mascaras
These three are my favorites for everyday daytime use. I like CoverGirl LashBlast for those days when I want volume, but when I want extra volume that’s still daytime appropriate, I use Maybelline Falsies. However, when I want length I use L’Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes. I actually don’t get a whole lot of volume from this one; instead, I get a lot of length. The L’Oreal one is my favorite to use on those no-makeup-days. It looks very natural.
Splurge Mascaras
MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Smoky Lash isn’t drugstore cheap at $23, but if you want vavoom lashes, then this is your brand. It is the perfect mascara for a smoky eye, but it also works with a cat eye look, too.
You know how you save your most expensive shoes for special occasions? Well, that’s how I feel about DIORSHOW Black Out. Super black, super luxurious, super thickening, you won’t mind the $25 price tag. It’s totally worth it.
