Keep Hydrated with These Facial Elixirs

ShareTweet

It’s freaking cold. I’m constantly running the heat, and my skin is freaking out. Irritated, splotchy, dry, and even itchy, my face requires constant hydration. It’s a battle I aim to win. Here’s how:

  1. Drinking coconut water. I’m adding coconut water to my regular intake of water, of which I am drinking at least eight glasses each day. Not only is coconut water helping my skin, but I find that I’m more focused and energetic, too.
  2. Using a humidifier. Whether I’m at my computer, relaxing on the sofa watching Vanderpump Rules, or asleep, I am running the humidifier. You have to consider that I live in the desert, so I’m dealing with an especially dry climate. Constantly running a humidifier in your home may not be as necessary where you live. But if you are running your heat regularly, you are drying out the air in your home. So, you may want to consider getting a humidifier.
  3. Spraying my punum with elixir (like, all the time!). Seriously. I spray my face at least once every couple of hours with an elixir, whether or not I’m wearing makeup. I’m keeping bottles of them everywhere – downstairs at my laptop while I work, upstairs at my vanity, and bedside. And when I head out the door, guess what I throw in my bag. Yup. A bottle of elixir. It’s as important as lip balm right now.

Need elixir recommendations? If you’re not used to spraying your face, you may be wondering what products to use. These are my top three picks.

Pixi Glow Mist, $15

Anese Hydrating Body & Hair Elixir, $26

Evanhealy Rose Geranium Facial Tonic HydroSoul, $25

Great tips! I actually just tried Trader Joes Coconut Water on a shoot last week and I think it may be my favorite one!

Thanks, Christie. Yes, and I just ran out of coconut water last night, too. I need to make a mad dash to stock up. 😉
