This weekend, I turn 48. Yes, 48. I know what you’re going to say, “You don’t look a day over 18!” Okay, maybe you were going to say 38. It’s my birthday. Allow me to delude myself. But, I get it, I look young for my age. However, my body isn’t feeling so young. And knowing that old age is lurking just down the street from where I live today, I have to now take extra precaution to be strong, disease free, and hearty. Here are three ways I’m accomplishing that just by using these healthy living products.
Not only are the boys in Las Vegas dirty, so is the water. Yuck. I mean, you can shower with Vegas water (and Vegas boys, too), but I wouldn’t recommend drinking it. And while drinking water is imperative no matter where you live, it’s even more important smack dab in the middle of the desert.
While the common go-to for drinking water is bottled, I hate the idea of adding to landfills with all that plastic. That’s why I’ve always relied on filtered pitchers to meet my hydration needs, but I never found one that improved the taste of Las Vegas water. That is, until I discovered ZeroWater, one of the healthy living products that I highly recommend.
Not only does ZeroWater use a five-stage technology to filter tap water (most filtered pitcher systems use only two), but it actually makes Vegas water taste pretty damn good! I am amazed.
The ZeroWater system includes a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) tester to show you how dirty your water is before using the filtration system. Below is how Vegas water registers on the water quality meter, showing that the amount of inorganic and organic compounds, such as salts, minerals, and lead, measure at 565. The typical range for most of the water in the US is 051-200.
After using the ZeroWater filter, dirty Vegas water now registers at zero, meaning that it meets the FDA definition of purified bottle water. That’s some clean yummy water right there! I don’t have to add lemon or mint to improve the taste, either. ZeroWater tastes better than regular bottled water, so I’m bound to drink a lot of it and maintain good health.

A coworker shared a link to FeetUp in one of our Slack channels, commenting that the Trainer looked dangerous to him. But to me, it was the healthy living product and solution I needed to develop a strong core and perform an inversion post.
I’m a fan of the advantages of yoga, but I’m not a die-hard yoga practitioner. I don’t attend yoga classes and the only reasons I like it is because of the perks of a tighter core and relaxed mind. Practicing yoga solo at home doesn’t allow for the guidance and coaching necessary to achieve certain poses, such as a headstand. With a FeetUp trainer, though, I can.
While I didn’t achieve this level of inversion pose overnight, I did achieve it within a month. I recommend practicing near a wall until you feel confident that you don’t need its support. Not only do I appreciate the workout a FeetUp Trainer gives my core, but I really enjoy the overall feeling of tranquility and calm that the inversion pose brings. I only need a few minutes to achieve that with my Trainer. And after the traumatic year I’ve had between my father dying and my subsequent hospitalization, I need to do a better job at alleviating stress and tension. FeetUp trainer helps with that.

Remember before when I said I had been hospitalized? Well, basically my body went into shock less than 30 days after losing my dad (grief is poisonous), my immune system crashed, and I got sicker than I’ve ever been in my life. I’m better now, much better, but still concerned about my immune system. I asked around for recommendations on vitamins, and the females around me recommended Ritual.
While one friend told me that within a week of use, she felt an improvement in energy and sleep, that experience took me two weeks to attain. But, it’s true. Something about the formulation of Ritual vitamins just makes you feel good, a super-important quality for healthy living products. What I especially like about Ritual is that it’s specifically made for women. It is a bit pricey, but I think well worth it.
