I posted a sneak peek photo of my bargain beauty lash extensions and brow shaping on social media, emphasizing the $25 price point for both services combined, and all of my friends and followers are dying to know just where I went to get them. Can you blame them? After all, eyelash extensions can cost up to $200. And eyebrow shaping, whether done by threading or waxing, normally starts at $25. Okay. Ready to learn more?
It’s time for you to discover Seva Beauty. Brace yourself, now. Seva Beauty is located inside Walmart. Yes. You read that right. Walmart.
It makes sense. You shop Walmart for many of your favorite personal care and beauty items already. From shampoo and conditioner to lotions, lip balms, makeup, and even a good flat iron, think about how often you depend on the discount department store to keep you pretty. Why wouldn’t Walmart aim to offer affordable beauty services, too?
And that’s what Seva Beauty is all about. Touting itself as the destination that brings “beauty to the people,” Seva Beauty’s reasonably priced menu of services allows the hard-working woman on a tight budget and with a limited amount of time to benefit from the type of beauty services that others pay hundreds of dollars for at spas.
Currently, there are two Seva Beauty locations in the Las Vegas area (Henderson and Centennial Hills), and owner, Douglas Grant, told me that what he enjoys most about his role is that he and his staff are providing customers with services they never thought they could afford. It truly is beauty to the people—average people, that is, people like you and me.
Seva’s list of services is pretty impressive, and of course, so are the prices. Lash extensions and brow tinting are only $19 each. Brow shaping is $9, but on Mondays and Fridays, the service is only $5. (I was there on a Monday. That’s why my lash extensions and brow shaping came out to just under $25.) Facials range from $19 to $45, and body waxing ranges from $10 to $40.
Another thing that is really cool about Seva Beauty is that the beauty brand aims to keep its services limited to 15-20 minutes. I love that. Now, I can afford to go to the spa, and I live near some of the best ones in the country. But the reason I keep my spa visits to a minimum is because, well, my time is limited. And let’s face it; spa visits take at least an hour, but usually more. At Seva, I was able to step in, get my eyebrows shaped and have lash extensions applied in less than 45 minutes. Boom! I was out the door and off to buy myself some dinner. Seva Beauty is the fast casual spa I’ve always needed in my busy life.
You can see my eyelash extensions and brow shaping above. My esthetician threaded the shape and then filled my brows in using Seva’s number one-selling product: Brow Split Make-Up ($11). Next, she applied my eyelash extensions. I have never had eyelash extensions before, but I’m sure that after these eventually come off (they should last two to three weeks), I will go back for more. I mean at $19 a pop, how could I not?
Share the love. When you purchase a $25 Seva Beauty gift card for someone else, you receive a free $9 brow shaping service, which you can use that same day or at another date. It never expires. At Seva, you can walk in or make an appointment. It’s up to you. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. On Sundays, hours are noon to 6 p.m.
The Henderson location is at 540 Marks Street, 702-558-6356. Find the Centennial Hills Seva at 8060 West Tropical Parkway, 702-839-0888. When you arrive, check yourself in at the desktop kiosk.
More Seva Beauty locations will soon be opening up. To stay informed of the expansion or to find a location outside of Las Vegas, go to SevaBeauty.com.
