The 10th anniversary of Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appétit was a star-studded affair with 24 events hosted by the world’s top chefs and mixologists including Giada De Laurentiis, Gordon Ramsay, Wolfgang Puck, Guy Savoy, Salvatore Calabrese, Daniel Boulud, Emeril Lagasse, Michael Mina, Hubert Keller and Rick Moonen among others. The culinary extravaganza continued throughout the weekend (April 28-May 1) with events at Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, The Venetian, The Palazzo, and for the first time ever, Downtown Las Vegas.
My Vegas Uncork’d experience included The Grand Tasting at the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis at Caesars Palace on April 29th. The event welcomed more than 2,000 stylish guests and featured signature dishes from more than 50+ world-renowned chefs and mixologists. In addition to delicious small bites, guests sipped on free-flowing wines and spirits from around the world. Being a Malbec fan, my favorite was Terrazas Reserva, which has been added to my shopping list. I even bumped into my favorite fashion models who were representing Avion Tequila and G.H. Mumm Champagne.
After a swank evening poolside, my foodie adventure continued downtown the following night. Attendees invaded Downtown Container Park for the Ultimate Comforts & Classics Affair, where we were greeted by delicious dishes from The Perch, Shake Shack, Itsy Bitsy, and more. Tequila brand Patron was even on-hand to teach us how to make our own margaritas. Entertainment was provided by Stoked!
And believe it or not, 22 other activities happened aside from the ones I attended. Vegas Uncork’d is like the Sundance Festival of food. So, if you dare to call yourself a foodie, then you need to become a dedicated Vegas Uncork’d attendee before your street cred is questioned.
